Valley of Fire St Park, NV

If you've never been here, put it on your list of places to go. The multi-colored rocks and different formations are absolutely stunning. Check out this scenery.
The hiking opportunities are fantastic. Here are a few pics of us hiking different rock formations.
The last pic shows Maggie climbing what's known as the bee hive. Here's a pic of our campsite; day and night.
There was a natural hot spring a few miles away so we had to go. It looked really nice but they had warning signs up about not getting any water up your nose. Apparently there's brain eating virus that lives in the water. That was enough for us to not go in.
There are petroglyths everywhere. Here is just one pic of some.
There are lots of big horn sheep too. Here are a couple of pics.
There are also many rock formations that have interesting / recognizable shapes. Here's one of a bird's head.
Can you see it? The last pic is of a fence that we found, not far from Lake Mead. It is only about 1 foot tall. When I first saw it I thought it was the fence that President Trump wants Mexico to build and pay for. It seems the perfect solution; easy to build, cheap and to Mexico's benefit, still easy to cross. Seem like the perfect political solution to me. ;-) Actually it's there to stop turtles from crossing onto the highway: apparently it works for them.
More to come.
